PRE-SCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN PROGRAMS
Daily class activity schedules are posted in each classroom. Our program includes activities to aid in the development of both motor and cognitive skills, as well as experiences in many areas including music, art, science, language, and indoor and outdoor play. Our center uses a well-designed curriculum. This child care center is a ministry of Oak Hills United Methodist Church and Christian education is included in our weekly curriculum. During the Thursday morning chapel time, the children will have a Bible related lesson taught by our youth pastor, Ben Otten.
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Currently, we offer service to children who attend the following schools: Springmyer, Oakdale, Dulles, Miami Heights, and C.T. Young. We also provide afternoon only service from St. Jude. In order to offer this service we need at least four children enrolled on a daily basis from each of the schools. The schools we serve can change each year. Please check with the office staff to make sure your child's school is on the list. We use our vans, private cars, or rental bus for transporting children to and from school.
SUMMER DAY CAMP
Summer Day Camp serves children who have finished first grade through sixth grade. Registration for Summer Day Camp is usually done in early Spring. Notices will be posted when we offer registration. Our camp children take field trips. Each camper will provide his or her own lunch. Swimming may be offered as part of the Summer Day Camp experience. We will only permit our campers to swim where there is a trained lifeguard. Our adult camp staff will also supervise the swimming activities.
